About this product

The Mountfield SP53 is a self-propelled petrol lawnmower designed for lawns up to 650 m². It is equipped with a 166cc ST170 OHV Autochoke engine and a 51 cm steel cutting deck. The larger 280 mm rear wheels assist with operation on longer grass and uneven ground.

This mower offers a 3-in-1 cutting system: collecting, mulching, and rear discharge. Grass clippings are gathered in a 60-litre fabric collector that allows for air circulation. For mulching, a supplied plug can be fitted to cut the grass into fine pieces that are returned to the lawn. A single lever adjusts the cutting height for quick changes.

The mower weighs 32 kg and has grooved wheels on ball bearings. For storage, the handles are foldable. The machine includes an Operator Presence Control lever for safety, which stops the engine when released. A mulching plug and a starter bottle of 4-stroke engine oil are included with the mower.
