About this product
This is a galvanised steel raised bed, coloured brown. It measures 46 inches long by 24 inches wide and stands 12 inches high. The depth is suitable for growing root vegetables and bulbs. Its sides create a barrier to lawn edges and may help to keep slugs away from the plants inside.
Constructed from galvanised steel, the bed has a soil capacity of 412 gallons. It can be assembled in autumn and filled with materials like compost and leaf mould. This allows the contents to settle over winter, ready for planting in the spring.
The raised bed is supplied for self-assembly and weighs 21 kg. An instruction manual and the tools for putting it together are included in the box. It provides a way to create a distinct, contained area for planting.
